In the three years of Xuantong, the Qing government began to carry out the currency reform in order to change the confusion caused by the undetermined currency system. Luigi Giorgi from Milan, Italy, was appointed as the chief engraver by the Mint General Coin Factory in 1910 to take charge of the design and carving of the mould for the new coins in the past three years. On the front and back of the Xuansan series, there are five forms of Coiling Dragon: Long Whisker Dragon, Short Whisker Dragon, Anti Dragon, Big Tail Dragon, and Qu Xulong. After the Qu Xulong was put into production, the Wuchang Uprising broke out, and then the Republic of China was established. Except for the short circulation of "Qu Xulong", other editions have not been issued because of the outbreak of the Revolution of 1911. They are the reputation of China's silver coins in the Qing Dynasty, are the treasures pursued by silver collectors.

The upper and lower sides of the coins are inscribed with the words "Xuan Tong Three Years" in Manchu and Chinese characters, and the four characters "Da Qing Silver Coins" are inscribed inside the beads. The regular script is dignified, thick and vigorous, showing the royal dignity, with long branches and chrysanthemum decorations on both sides, and the lines are smooth and delicate. For thousands of years, the dragon as a symbol of the Chinese nation, by the descendants of hundreds of millions of dragon worship. Because its survival quantity is extremely scarce, and Xuantong three years Qing Dynasty silver coin layout design is graceful, the carving is fine, is searched by the numerous big collectors goes, now is difficult to find.
