重点班的英文表达就是honors class。honor做名词时有荣誉、尊敬、正直等意思，做动词时有尊敬的意思。honors则有礼遇，优异成绩的意思。与之相对的就是普通班：regular class。

据悉，该学校的重点班根据学生的中考成绩来定。中考的英语表达是:High School Entrance Examination。air-conditioning就是空调的意思。文中的fan是指风扇，fan另外还有一个意思，就是大家熟悉的“迷, 狂热爱好者 ”，也就是我们俗称的“粉丝”。
