【周四习语课】这些习语，会用一半以上的英语都很牛！

just是个很简单的词，学过英语的都认识它。但是，以下这些just的习语，你都知道是什么意思吗？你都会用吗？

组成这些习语的每个单词都很简单，但放在一起，就好像起了化学反应，意思完全不同了！

1、just about 几乎；近乎；差不多

I've met just about everyone.

我几乎每个人都见到了。

She should be arriving just about now.

她现在差不多该到了。

A: Did you reach your sales target?

B: Just about.

A：你的销售目标达成了吗？

B：差不多了。

2、just so 井井有条；有条不紊

Her hair is always just so.

她的头发总是一丝不乱

He liked polishing the furniture and making everything just so.

他喜欢把家具擦得锃亮，一切都安排得井井有条。

When Mother comes to stay, everything has to be just so.

妈妈要来住的时候，一切都得井井有条的。

3、not just any 不是一般的；非寻常的

He's not just any doctor – he's a neurosurgeon.

他可不是普通医生——他是名神经外科医生。

She isn't just any woman – she's the Queen.

她并非寻常妇女——她是女王。

We don't accept just any students.

我们并不收一般的学生〔只收高材生〕。

4、just like that 突如其来；冷不防（不加警告或解释）

He walked out on his wife just like that!

他突然遗弃了妻子。

A: And then she slapped him in the face, just like that!

B: She can be so rude.

A：她就那样突如其来地打了他一巴掌！

B：她就是那么粗鲁的。

5、(It’s) just as well (that ...) 也是好事；倒也不错；还好

It's just as well that we didn't go out in this rain.

我们下雨天没出去倒也是好事。

A: My brother said he'd give us a lift to the airport in the morning.

B: Just as well, because I don't have any money for a taxi.

A：我哥哥说他早上可以载我们去机场。

B：还好是这样，我都没钱打的士。

6、would just as soon 宁愿，情愿

I’m sure they’d just as soon stay home.

我肯定他们宁愿呆在家里。

I'd just as soon work at home and not have the hassle of the subway every morning.

我情愿在家工作，不用每天早上去挤地铁。
