Jacobsen–Katsuki环氧化反应

上世纪90年代早期,E.N. Jacobsen和T. Katsuki分别独立报道了手性(salen)锰(III)-配合物催化烷基或芳基取代烯烃进行高效的对映选择性环氧化的方法。他们的方法是基于J.K. Kochi团队的研究,他们早期报道了利用非手性的(salen)锰(III)-配合物催化非官能团化的烯烃进行外消旋环氧化。利用手性(salen)Mn(III)催化剂催化下氧化烯烃不对称合成环氧化物的反应被称为Jacobsen–Katsuki环氧化反应。手性salen配合物与生物体中常见的氧化剂卟啉-金属配合物具有很强的结构相似性。
反应机理
首先氧化Mn(III)-salen络合物得到Mn(v)活性中间体,反应的对映选择性可以由Jacobsen提出的烯烃从催化剂的顶端进行反应或Katsuki提出的从侧上方进行反应来解释。
