咏滁州

暮云飘渺琅琊西，

归去寒鸦老树低。

狼巷谷中寻落日，

摩崖石上解留题。

愿将深秀磨成镜，

拟把胭脂缀作衣。

懒问醉翁今在否，

清流河岸钓银鳍。

注释

薄暮，琅琊山上云彩飘渺。寒鸦归来，栖在枝桠上，老树更显低沉。我在狼巷迷谷里徜徉，一抹夕阳照在古石上，顿觉格外清幽。摩崖石刻上，历代文人的题记依稀可辨，品读起来别有一番韵致。

走出迷谷，来到深秀湖边。真想把这清澈碧透的湖面磨成明镜，照见这座城市的前世今生。远处胭脂山明艳动人，如红黄相间的屏障。如果把它连缀成一件衣裳，该有多么美丽啊！

醉翁亭微微翘起的檐角隐约可见。也不知道欧阳修有没有神游到此继续饮酒。我径自走到清流河畔，垂钓起来。无数鱼儿游过，我惬意地享受着这份寂静。

English Version

Ode to Chuzhou

Tr. Wu Haohao

Mist floats around Mt. Langya,

Birds chirp and jump on branches low.

The Wolf Lane lies in sunset,

Poems on cliffs written years ago.

Shenxiu Lake is a mirror,

Mount Yanzhi an apple mellow.

Has he come back for a drink?

With waters silver fish flow.

Paraphrase

At dusk mists float around the Langya Mountain. Blackbirds cheerfully come back to their nest, making the branches and twigs on the trees bent lower with their weight. I stroll about the Wolf Lane and the labyrinthic valley. They form an air of tranquility as the last beam of the sun falls upon them. There inscribe many poems and inscriptions on precipices. These writings, deep in thoughts and elegant in form, were composed by well-known poets, calligraphers and officials.

Winding through the rocky path, I come to the Shenxiu Lake. How limpid and clear it is! I have an impulse to make it a mirror, reflecting the past and future of the city. In the distance, the Yanzhi Mount is yellow and red with flowers, leaves and rocky soils in sunset. It looks like a dress of a fairy who likes dancing when autumn comes.

The Old Tippler’s Pavilion towers above the lush trees with eaves protruding toward the sky. Has the old tippler—Ouyang Xiu, the prefecture chief of Chuzhou (in his reign from 1045-1048), come back for a drink? Having not heard from him, I walk to the Qiuliu River and divert myself for fishing. Sitting on the riverbank, I see silver fish swimming to and fro in the water.
