2.惯用复数形式的名词

（2）某些名词在作某种意义解时常常以复数形式出现。例如：

stairs楼梯

The King walked slowly down the stairs.

国王缓缓走下楼梯。

结构分析：The King是主语，walked slowly是谓语（slowly是状语），down the stairs是状语。

ashes灰烬

I'm gonna go pick up dad's ashes.

去拿爸爸的骨灰。

结构分析：I是主语， am gonna go pick up是谓语， dad's ashes是宾语。【gonna abbr. （美）将要（等于going to）】
