The United Kingdom on Wednesday gave relaxations to fully vaccinated travellers from the United States and European Union (EU) countries by removing the mandatory 10-day quarantine. The new rules will come into effect from Monday.
Currently, only people who received their Covid-19 vaccine in the UK can avoid quarantine when arriving from these "amber list" countries under the government’s traffic list travel system.
However, India continues to remain on the red list which means even if fully vaccinated, the travellers from here will have to undergo compulsory 10-day quarantine upon reaching England. The next review of that status is expected by the middle of next week. hindustantimes

Etihad Airways has stopped flights from India to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) “until further notice”, an airline spokesperson said. The airliner’s move followed UAE banning all flights from India amid the Covid-19 pandemic.
However, the airline may ferry UAE nationals, diplomatic missions, official delegations and UAE Golden visa holders exempted from the UAE entry restriction. The airline said it will continue to operate its cargo flights from the country during the period of the indefinite ban.

NEW DELHI: SoftBank is selling about 45 million of its shares in Uber Technologies Inc, a source familiar with the matter told Reuters on Wednesday.
Any buyer will have a 30-day lockup period, the source said.
The person added that the Japanese investment giant's motive was unrelated to the performance of Didi Global and Alibaba and SoftBank just thought it was a good time to cash out partially on its Uber stake and take some profit.
CNBC had first reported the sale, saying it was to cover for losses seen in its investment in Didi and Alibaba. TOI

The telecom operator said it has discontinued its Rs 49 entry level prepaid recharge. The company's prepaid packs would now start from the Rs 79 smart recharge and offer up to four times more outgoing minutes of usage to customers along with double data, Airtel said in a statement. TOI
