咏龙岩

冠豸如屛阻雁飞，

汀州一片绿云垂。

风吟虎岭生春色，

雨洗石门见翠微。

梦苡^[1]琴弹千载远，

了拳^[2]禅坐五峰岿。

巉岩槊槊忽如卧，

应是神龙探月归。

注释：

[1]李梦苡(约生于清康熙末年)，字非珠。武平县城西花园村(今平川镇西厢村)人。清乾隆辛酉科举人，著名诗人。

[2]惭愧祖师(817—866)，俗姓潘，名了拳，唐元和十二年(817年)生于汀州上杭场山羊窠(现永定县下洋镇东洋村)，从小就是一个富有宗教色彩的方外奇人。

Ode to Longyan

Mount Guanzhai is so high that it scrapes the blue sky.

The city Longyan rests upon green hills and rills.

The breezes spread spring in full swing before many an eye.

In the ponds,lakes and seas, the rain ceaselessly fills.

The lyre performed by the saint is heard miles away.

Budda Pan sits in meditation on the cloud.

Cliffy rocks seem to draw back as fast as they may

In response to the voice of Loong’s honor guard loud.

龙岩

龙岩是福建西南的地级市，位于九龙江和汀江上游，北接三明，东临泉州，东南与漳州接壤。西南与广东省梅州市毗邻，西部和西北与江西省赣州市接界。森林覆盖率高达77.9%，居福建省之最。作为中国生物圈保护网的梅花山坐落于该市境内。

Longyan

It is a prefecture-level city in southwestern Fujian province, People’s Republic of China. Longyan is situated in the upper reaches of the Jiulong and Ting Rivers. It borders the prefecture-level cities of Sanming to the north, Quanzhou to the east, Zhangzhou to the southeast, Meizhou (Guangdong) to the southwest, and Ganzhou (Jiangxi) to the west and northwest. Unlike many Chinese cities, the forest coverage of Longyan reaches an unusually high 77.9%, which is unparalleled in Fujian province. Meihuashan National Nature Reserve, a part of the China Biosphere Reserve Network, is located in Longyan.
