Diagnosis: Hepatic adenomatosis.
Discussion: Hepatic adenomas can be very difficult to detect, as demonstrated by the in-phase image (see Fig. 9A). Some adenomas contain intracytoplasmic fat and will therefore lose signal on the out-of-phase image, becoming quite conspicuous. On the contrast-enhanced sequences (not shown), these masses enhanced, which excluded focal fat deposition as a differential consideration.
