今天是父亲节，本应该找首关于父亲的歌，不过前两天提前发了，大家可以去看下。今天这首歌讲述一个试图克服毒瘾的故事。来自A Perfect Circle乐队2003年的专辑《Thirteenth Step》,截止2019年，这是乐队的最高排行榜歌曲，在主流摇滚曲目和现代摇滚曲目排行榜上都达到了第一名。2003年，凯特·贝金赛尔(Kate Beckinsale)主演的动作恐怖电影《黑夜传说》(Underworld)就收录了这首歌。
歌词也说明了毒品的可怕之处：
当我四处寻找那些上乘好货的时候，就像吸血鬼一样，靠近深渊底部。
这首歌的MV的设计很有想法，一个骨瘦如柴并且腹部有伤口的女子，在向一个食肉昆虫寄生洞里扔食物，她扔进洞里的动物的体积每一次都在变大：首先是蜥蜴，其次是小蛇，第三是看起来像鬣蜥的大动物，最后是蟒蛇。每次洞里的昆虫吃掉动物之后，女子腹部的伤口也会随之扩大，洞里的昆虫寓意是毒品或者对毒品的渴望，动物的大小象征着渴望的大小。而腹部的洞越来越大，女子最终死掉，寓意着毒品如何慢慢杀死她的。
