Surfer Jin

Jin liked to surf. “The ocean is powerful,” Grandma said. “Don’t swim out too far.”

But Jin always swam out too far. “The ocean is weak,” he said. “It will not hurt me.”

One day, Jin swam far out in the water. He sat on his surfboard. He waited for a wave. He didn’t see that he was drifting farther and farther out.

Suddenly, the shore looked very small. The ocean was rough. Waves tossed Jin around. He swam and swam toward the shore. He was very tired. A big wave slapped him on the head. He almost lost his surfboard. Finally, he made it to shore.

“You are right,” he told Grandma that night. “The ocean is powerful. I will not swim out too far ever again.”

冲浪者金

金喜欢冲浪。“大海很强大，”奶奶说。“不要游得太远。”

但金总是游得太远。“海洋是弱小的，”他说。“不会伤害我的。”

一天，金在水里游得很远。他坐在冲浪板上。他等着波浪到来。他没有看到自己漂得越来越远。

突然间，海岸看起来很小。大海波涛汹涌。波浪把金抛来抛去。他使劲向岸边游啊游。他很累。一个大浪打在他的头上。他差点把冲浪板弄丢了。最后，他终于上岸了。

“你说得对，”那天晚上他对奶奶说。“海洋是强大的。我再也不会游得太远了。”
