This is a simple but thought-provoking cartoon: an individual sits in front of his computer during work time, at home and when he plays; however, to our surprise, when this youngster is sleeping, in his dream, he is still sitting before the computer.
Apparently, if people intend to enjoy a normal and harmonious life, it is not advisable for them to be the slave of the computer. And this picture can be naturally associated with the people’s addiction to this invention. In contemporary society, it has become a trend for a host of youngsters to most time on PC and pads, either in life, work or study. A case in point is the picture. Meanwhile, an increasing number of teenagers find it convenient to work, entertain or kill time with computers. However, intelligent people in large numbers have come to realize the negative impacts of this phenomenon. It is computers that do not enable people to spend adequate time on caring for friends, family members and other significant issues.
I, as a college student, am convinced that it is of great necessity for youngsters to refuse to be the slave of modern technology. Thus, we should advocate and encourage our classmates and friends to be sensible when using computers. Do bear in mind: computers are just our tools. (215词)
