上次翻译考了“河”，这次可能考“名山”

2017年6月四级翻译考到了中国的长江、黄河和珠江。那么，有没有可能这一次考考中国的名山大川哪？于是，为大家准备了中国名山的练习材料。

翻译的第一原则：复杂句，切忌逐字翻译。

记住，你要翻译的是句子的含义，而非某个汉字对应的单词意思。因此，只要保证句子整体意思正确，哪怕不写某个汉字对应的单词，也是可以得分的。

翻译三步法：

第一步：浏览全句，提炼主干。

（整个句子划分为主干和修饰两个部分）

第二步：切块翻译，动态解释。

（当主干遭遇翻译障碍时，请务必重新选择主干，即“换“；当修饰成分遭遇障碍时，就按“单词、短语、从句、单句”的顺序依次尝试进行简化。实在不行，放弃部分修饰成分）

第三步：结构组合，检查修正。

（按照英文句子结构，将主干和修饰成分调整顺序、组合成句子，并检查单复数、时态等。）

It is said that the beauty of Yellow Mountain (Mt. Huangshan) is beyond the 5 great mountains. Located in the southern part of Anhui Province,  it is one of the top mountain-view spots of China and known as the No. 1 Mountain under heaven/in the world. Yellow Mountain is characterized by its four distinctive sceneries, namely, legendary pines, picturesque rocks, the sea of clouds and hot springs. Frequently, Yellow Mountain is the subject of traditional Chinese paintings, literary works as well modern photography. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and one of China's major tourist destinations. The area also has been a location for scientific research because of its diversity of flora and wildlife. （114 words）
