in, 表示描述大范围的地点或时间,比如I work in Beijing, my home is in Chaoyang District,我家在北京朝阳区,比较宽泛的大范围用in来表示;

I have been waiting for you at the subway station for hours, I am at the red table ,can’t you see me ?

on,表示在哪条街道,广场这种约定成俗的地点,I enjoy the night view on Changan Street,我喜欢长安街的夜景;

I live in Beijing, my work place is on changan street, and I am at Wang fujing shopping now,我住在北京,我公司在长安街上,我现在在王府井购物。

还有,躺在床上,坐在沙发上,通常用in,不用on,毕竟床和沙发的包裹性和弹性形变比较强,有塌陷的状态用in,I don’t like sleeping in bed, sitting in sofa can make me fall asleep naturally, 在沙发上可以不知不觉睡着,比床舒服多了;但坐在椅子上,通常就用on了,Don’t sit on that dirty chair!

I work in Beijing, my home is in Chaoyang District

I have been waiting for you at the subway station for hours

I enjoy the night view on Changan Street

I live in Beijing, my work place is on changan street, and I am at Wang fujing shopping now

I don’t like sleeping in bed, sitting in sofa can make me fall asleep naturally

Don’t sit on that dirty chair!
