The Creative Bazaar Day

Look at this picture! It's on a weekend of November 2020. It's a cold but sunny day which was also the Creative Bazaar Day of the school.

Some students in this school became sellers on that day, they were selling differentthings, such as: manual zongzi, paper  fans, bookmarks and colorful ribbons. Each stall was selling different products with unique features.

And there were many customers, too. Some were teachers, parents and students in this school and from other schools. And also there were citizens from the neighborhood. They made the market more bustling.

What is the value of this activity? It is that the sailors could learn how to trade with others and students who are customers also learn how to bargain with sellers. The most important thing was that the activity trained the communication skills of all the participants.

Besides, this is also a good opportunity to show campus culture which can also promote the communication and interaction between parents, students and teachers.

It's a meaningful activity, I hope a similar activity can be held in our school soon.

看这一幅图,这是在2020年12月的一个周末,那一天的天气很冷,但是天朗气清。这是学校的创意集市日。

一些学生在那一天扮演销售者的角色,而另一些学生扮演顾客的角色。他们售卖的物品有手工制作的粽子,纸折的扇子,还有精心绘制的书签和五光十色的彩带等。每个摊位售卖的物品都不一样,极具个性。

来集市的有学校的师生,还有其他学校的师生家长,另外还有周边的市民也来凑热闹,这些都使得集市人声鼎沸。

这个创意集市有什么意义呢?我认为是销售者可以学会和别人做生意,而作为消费者可以学习如何讨价还价。最重要的是,它可以帮助锻炼参与者的沟通技能,同时这也是校园文化的一个大展示,促进老师、家长和学生的交流合作。

这是一个非常有意义的活动,期待我们学校也举办类似的活动。



看图写作是一个新的英语写作训练项目。它相比较日记写作的自由发挥而言,范围有所限制。同时也会给写作指明方向,确定大概内容,避免无话可说。

在高中英语新课标(2020)中,教学活动除了传统的听、说、读、写外,增加了“看”,即 Viewing 这一提法。这促使师生进一步改进教与学的策略,把原来的文本阅读,拓展到非连续文本和可视化范围。

同时,即兴演讲要求学生进行看图说话。将口语表达转换为书面训练,有助于学生熟悉题型;此训练还可以关联到“故事复述”能力的培养;同时也强化学生扩展语境,构思语篇的能力;另外,关注身边的人和事;学会用英语去阐述事件,表达观点和想法,也是英语学科核心素养和课程目标的基本要求。
