Where Animals Go

In the winter, it is cold and it gets very dark. Animals and birds try to stay warm. They also look for food.

Geese go south in the winter. They fly in a group. They look like a “V.” They search for sun and food.

Bears go to sleep for the winter. Their breathing slows down, and they use energy from fat stored in their bodies.

Rabbits do not go to sleep for the winter. Some rabbits grow white fur so they can hide from other animals in the snow. Rabbits eat bark and leaves in the winter.

What do you do in the winter? Do you travel south? Or do you sleep a lot?

冬天，天气很冷，而且很黑。动物和鸟儿们努力保持温暖。他们也要寻找食物。

大雁在冬天往南飞。它们成群飞行，看起来像一个V形。它们寻找阳光和食物。
