播音员提到的 tapped out 有两个意思：

疲惫和没钱。

英文中的 out 经常用来表示“完，尽”的意思。

如：

sell out（卖完），run / give out（耗尽）；

还有几个既可以表示“ 疲惫” ，又可以表示其它意思的 out 的短语，

用一张表格来区分吧：

tapped  out	疲惫的	没钱的
worn out	疲惫的	(衣鞋帽) 磨损的, (设备)陈旧的
washed out	疲惫的	(衣鞋帽)洗褪色的
played out	疲惫的	/
fagged out	疲惫的	/

🌰：He always looks tapped / worn / washed out at the end of the week.  他总是在周末的时候一副疲惫不堪的样子。

I don't like the jeans that are washed out. 我不喜欢那件洗的发白了的牛仔裤。

⚠️ 1) 没有 use out 这个短语，“用完” 是 use up。

2) eat out 不是“吃完”，而是“外出就餐”， eat up 才是“吃完”。

3) go through 也可以用来表示“用完，耗尽”，

如：

go through all the food（吃完了所有的食物）；

但是，go through with 意思则不同，

它表示 “(艰难)完成/经历”，

如：

go through with an operation（经历了一场手术）。
