My Review

This is a short, simple but enlightening episode about cultivating confidence. Based on my experience, personally, as a teacher, I am convinced that confidence originates from everyday progress. To be specific, if one can progress a little and tell himself/herself that he/she is nearer to his/her dream. Then, confidence gradually comes.

However, in today's video, the speaker analyzes the origin of confidence in a distinctive manner and presents the possible reason, that is “unconfidence arises specifically when we grow too attached to our dignity and become anxious around any situation that might seem threatening”

In the end of this lecture, the speaker gives us suggestion as follows:

The road to great confidence begins with the ritual of telling oneself solemnly every morning before heading out for the day, that one is a muttonhead, a cretin, a dumbbell and an imbecile.

This episode reminds me of Job's famous remark, "Stay Foolish, Stay Hungry."
