The bar chart below shows the number (million) of four kinds of materials borrowed from a particular library in the UK in 1995, 2000 and 2005.

The bars illustrate how many times (in million) the four types of materials investigated were loaned from a particular library in the UK in 1995, 2000, and 2005. Overall, the pattern of loan varied slightly(黄色柱子去掉之后,pattern就一样了,所以slightly) between the three years.
Audio-visual materials were lent least frequently, and they were borrowed 20 million to 30 million times a year. Children’s books and adult non-fiction also 表达了信息之间的关系】 witnessed stable popularity, which is represented by the constant number of 100 million times and the constant 200 million times.
Fictional books for adults had varying popularity between the three years. 先总写,再分写 The year of 1995, in which the books were borrowed over 300 million times, “定语从句”的语法方式陈述数值】 saw the highest popularity. In 2000, those books, having had decreased popularity, were borrowed as many times as adult non-fiction books, and in 2005, they had even lower popularity and were borrowed for the same number of times as that of children’s books.
The chart below shows the changes in the number of students applying four different courses at a university in 2008 and 2013, as well as the projection for 2025.

The bars illustrate changed numbers of applicants for different courses at a university in 2008 and 2013, as well as the projection for 2025. Overall, the change varied from one field of study to another, and the vast difference is likely to remain in the future.
Biology, one of the most desired field in 2008, and Business both witnessed a slip in the number of applicants in 2013, compared with the year of 2008. It may have been ß may have done 表示对于过去的猜测】 a coincidence that both fields received 2500 applications in 2013, and the shrinkage was greater in Biology than in Business. 柱子之间的比较关系】
There was an increase in both Engineering and History. It is noteworthy that Engineer, the other most desired in 2008, remained most popular in 2013 and History was least desirable in the two years. The number of applicants increased significantly in Engineering, by 1,000, and slightly in History, by merely one-tenth of Engineering’s increment. ß 柱子之间的比较关系】
