Part 1
In the first phase of Part 1, children taking the test first point to the correct parts of the large picture.

Rebecca understands the examiner’s question, ‘Where’s the girl?’ and answers verbally, ‘It’s between the flowers.’ This is very good, pointing would have been sufficient here.

In the second phase, children put two small picture cards on the large picture following the examiner’s instructions. Rebecca understands the examiner’s question when asked which picture the spider is, and answers, ‘This is.’ She then follows the examiner’s instruction to put the spider on the bike; this is good, Rebecca understands and follows the instruction.

Part 2
In this part, children answer 5 questions about the large picture, using as much language as they can.

The examiner asks Rebecca, ‘What’s this?’ pointing to a balloon. Rebecca answers with a long answer, ‘It’s balloon.’ The answer doesn’t have to be grammatically correct, it must be understandable. Rebecca shows she understands all the examiner’s questions. Rebecca answers many questions with long answers, ‘There are 6 balloons.’ ‘The cat is sleeping, it’s white, yellow and orange.’ This is very good.

Part 3
In this part, children answer questions about 4 of the small picture cards.

Rebecca answers all the questions on the small picture cards, again using complete utterances. She shows that she knows all the words necessary and understands all the related questions. She does this part very well.

Part 4
In this part, children answer three questions about themselves.

Rebecca understands and is able to answer all the examiner’s questions about herself. The examiner asks, ‘Where do you learn English?’, and Rebecca responds ‘At school.’ The examiner also asks, ‘Who do you sit next to in class?’ and Rebecca responds clearly, ‘My friend.’

Part 1
In the first phase of Part 1, children taking the test first point to the correct parts of the large picture.

The examiner asks Paolo, ‘Where’s the guitar?’ Paolo not only points to the guitar but also says, ‘The guitar is it.’ showing that he both understands the question and can respond verbally. This is very good. When asked, ‘Where are the flowers?’ Paolo answers ‘The flowers are in the … vase?’ He isn’t sure of the word he needs, so the examiner helps him by pointing to the flowers and asking, ‘Are these the flowers?’

In the second phase, children put two small picture cards on the large picture following the examiner’s instructions.

Paolo recognises the apple and the photo saying ‘this’ and pointing to both pictures, he is able to put both objects where the examiner asks him to put them. This is also good.

Part 2
In this part, children answer 5 questions about the large picture, using as much language as they can.

When the examiner asks Paolo, ‘What’s this?’ pointing to the bag, Paolo answers using a complete utterance, not just one word, which would be good too. When the examiner asks him how many bags there are, he answers well, again using a full response, ‘There are two bags.’ When the examiner asks Paolo to tell her about the box, he answers very well; he describes where it is and what colour it is.

In this part, children answer questions about 4 of the small picture cards.

Paolo is able to name each object he is asked about in this part and he gives long answers to all questions, showing that he understands all the questions and is able communicate well, this is excellent!

Part 4
In this part, children answer three questions about themselves.

Paolo understands and answers almost all the examiner’s questions confidently. He says he plays football, basketball and swims. When he is trying to say where he plays football, he has difficulty - this is not a problem, the examiner asks him another question which he answers very well.

Part 1

Part 2
In this part, children answer 5 questions about the large picture using as much language as theycan.

When the examiner asks Tommaso, ‘What is this?’ Tommaso answers ‘Balloon’, this is good. Heshows that he understands the examiner’s next question by answering, ‘Green, blue, red and yellow’, thisis good. When the examiner asks Tommaso, ‘How many balloons are there?’ he answers using acomplete utterance. ‘There are six balloon.’ This longer answer is better than only one-word answers.

Tommaso shows heunderstands all the examiner’s questions about the small picture cards by answering each questioncorrectly. Most of his answers are only one word. This is good, but it is better to give longer answers if youcan.

Part 4
In this part, children answer three questions about themselves.

Tommaso doesn’t seem to understand the question ‘Where do you learn English?’ This is not a problem.The examiner helps him and asks him, ‘Do you learn English at school?’ Tommaso is then able to answerthe question. Sometimes you may not understand a question and you can ask the examiner to repeat thequestion, this is a good thing to do. It shows that you can ask for help.
Tommaso似乎不明白“你在哪里学习英语”这个问题。其实,不明白不代表有问题。主考官会帮助他,问他:“你在学校学英语吗”,然后Tommaso就能回答出这个问题了。有时考生可能不明白一个问题,可以让考官重复这个问题,从另一方面来说,这展现了考生用英语寻求帮助的能力。

Part 1
In this part, children taking the test look at two pictures and find four things that are different.
在这部分中,考生们会看到两张图片,需要描述两张图片之间的四个不同之处 。
Sole describes the 4 differences very well. ‘In the first picture there are three, no, two ducks near the car but in the second picture there is a two duck, ducks, are, aren’t, aren’t near the car.’ When he was describing the last difference he made a few small mistakes and he corrected himself each time, this is very good. If you make a mistake you can correct it.

In this part, children talk about 4 pictures which tell a story. It’s important to try to say something about all four pictures.

The examiner tells the child the name of the story and gives him/her some time to look at the pictures. Sole tells the story very well. ‘While John and Holly play, are playing the table tennis the baby is going near the tree and the dog, the dog look the baby.’ He shows that he can describe what is happening using the appropriate vocabulary and structure to tell the story.
考官告诉考生故事的名字,并给他/她一些时间看图片。Sole很好地讲述了这个故事。“当John和Holly在打乒乓球的时候,宝宝走到树旁,狗狗在看着宝宝。”这展示了他可以使用恰当的词汇和结构来描述正在发生的事情。
Part 3
In this part, children look at 4 pictures and say which picture is different and why it is different.

Sole points out the different picture in each set and says, for example,‘This, but the, the first the third and the fourth is eh, are cooking.’ He does this part well but it would have been better if Sole had said because instead of but.
Sole指出了每一组中不同的图片,例如他说到,“这个,但是第一个,第三个和第四个是,是烹饪。“Sole这部分做得很好,但如果他说的是“because(因为)”,而不是“but(但是)”,那就更好了。
Part 4
In this part, children answer four questions about themselves. For example, these can be about family, friends, home, school, what they like doing, etc.
在这部分中,孩子们需要回答四个关于他们自己的问题。例如,家庭、朋友、住所、学校,以及他们喜欢做什么等等。
Sole answers the examiner’s questions in this part well, although he doesn’t seem to understand, ‘Who’s the oldest in your family?’ The examiner helps him by asking the same question in a different way, ‘Is your Dad the oldest?’ Sole understands now and answers, ‘Yes.’ Not understanding something is not a problem because the examiner will help. But it is better if you ask the examiner for help yourself, you could say. ‘Sorry, I don’t understand.’

Part 1
In this part, children taking the test look at two pictures and find four things that are different. Giorgia understands what she is asked to do and immediately says what is different in each picture. ‘The duck, in this picture the duck is in front of a car but in this picture the duck is behind the car.’ She continues pointing out the differences and using long sentences to describe them. This is very good.Giorgia does this part very well.

Part 2
In this part, children talk about 4 pictures which tell a story. The examiner tells the child the name of the story and gives him/her some time to look at the pictures. It’s important to try to say something about all four pictures. Giorgia starts this part of the test very well saying what the children are doing in the first picture. ‘In this picture the boy and the girl are playing table tennis but a dog is watching the baby.’ However, Giorgia needs a little help with pictures 3 and 4 so the examiner asks her some questions which allow her to tell the rest of the story. Giorgia does this part well. It is not a problem if the examiner has to help a little.

In this part, children look at four pictures and say which picture is different and why it is different. Giorgia starts by saying what she sees in the four pictures, ‘In these picture there are a woman, a man and a boy and a grandmother, but a grandmother reading a book.’ This is good but the difference would have been clearer if she had said something like, ‘The grandmother is different because she is reading a book.’ She shows that she knows which picture is different each time and that she knows the vocabulary necessary.

In this part, children answer four questions about themselves. For example, these can be about family, friends, home, school, what they like doing, etc. Giorgia understands all the examiner’s questions and she shows that she has the language necessary to answer all the questions. The first answer she gives is complete, ‘In my family there are 3 people.’ She hesitates very slightly when she is asked who the oldest person in her family is, this is not a problem, sometimes you might have to think before you answer. Giorgia does this part well.

Part 1
In this part, the examiner tells the children something about his/her picture. The children then tell the examiner how their picture is different. There are 6 differences.

Michaela does this part very well, she understands all the information she is given and tells the examiner how her picture is different in each case. She makes a mistake and corrects herself, this is good. ‘In my picture the man’s got a brush in her pocket, in his pocket.’

Part 2
In this part children ask for and give information about two similar situations.

Michaela answers all of the examiner’s questions showing that she understands the questions and that she has the language necessary to answer them. She asks her own questions very well, showing that she knows how to make questions. For example, ‘What does she teach? Is she young or old? Has she got a car?’. She does this part very well.

Part 3
In this part, children talk about four pictures which tell a story. It’s important to say something about all four pictures. The examiner tells the child the name of the story and gives him/her some time to look at the pictures.

Michaela takes time to look at the pictures, this is good. You should look at all the pictures before starting to talk about them. She talks about the pictures very well although she needs help saying where the old woman was sitting, the examiner helps her. This is not a problem. Michaela then continues talking about the pictures, ‘And then they came home and sh…, the woman prepare them a lunch.’

Part 1
In this part, the examiner tells the children something about his/her picture. The children then tell the examiner how their picture is different. There are 6 differences. Jacopo does this part well, he understands the instructions and tells the examiner how his picture is different in each case. The examiner says, ‘In my picture the woman in the office is looking at a computer.’ Jacopo responds, ‘In my picture the, the woman don’t look the computer.

Part 2
In this part children ask for and give information about two similar situations. Jacopo answers all of the examiner’s questions showing that he understands and that he has the language necessary. He asks all of his own questions, although the structure is not always perfect. This is still good.

Part 3
In this part, children talk about four pictures which tell a story. It’s important to say something about all four pictures. The examiner tells the child the name of the story and gives him/her some time to look at the pictures. Jacopo takes his time looking at the pictures, this is good. You should look at all the pictures before starting to talk about them. He talks about the pictures very well, ‘When the bus arrive they find another family without the umbrella and they give to, to them.’
