2、Dividing p by q, it can be expressed by a fraction p/q. That is to say p÷q=p/q. In it, p is the numerator and q is the denominator.

两个整数p、q相除，可以用分数p/q表示，即p÷q=p/q，其中p为分子，q为分母。

3、The basic property of fractions: A fraction remains the same value, when both its numerator and denominator are multiplied or divided by the same non-zero number.

分数的基本性质：分数的分子和分母同乘以或除以同一个不为零的数，分数的值不变。

4、Canceling is a process of removing the common factor of both the numerator and the denominator of a fraction.

把一个分数的分子和分母的公因数约去的过程叫约分。

5、Reduction（of fractions to a common denominator） is a process of turning different denominators into the same one while the value of fractions should be kept the same.

将异分母的分数分别化为与原分数大小相等的同分母分数的过程叫通分。
