原来喝早茶英文就可以说成是：Yum Cha。这其实是一个广东话谐音的外来词。同样广东话来源的外来词还有对话中的：Dim Sum。由于广东籍华人大量移居国外，基本上哪儿都有唐人街，粤语文化在很多英语国家也流行起来。对于喝早茶吃那么多美味的点心这件事，外国人也是很感兴趣呢。
“早茶”英文也可以说成是：Cantonese Morning Tea。
