Abstract:The physiological functions of Chinese chiveswere reviewed,including anti-platelet aggregation,bacteriostasis,anti-cancer,antioxidation,improvement of sexual function,treatment hiccup,antihyperlip-idemic effectand soon,based on themany kindsof chemicalconstituents in chives,such assulfur compounds,flavonoids,steroidal saponins,nitrogenous compounds,plant oils,vitamins,and trace elements.Moreover,the presentand developing direction ofmedicine and food products derived from Chinese chiveswere summarized and analyzed in order toofferhelp for itssystem research and deep development.
