2.惯用复数形式的名词

(1)某些名词在一定的搭配中,必须用复数形式。例如：

take pains费尽气力

Take pains to understand the other side.

承受磨难，了解不同的声音。

结构分析：Take是谓语，pains是宾语，to understand the other side是宾语补语。

be in high spirits情绪高

Wendy, you seem to be in high spirits today.

温蒂，你今天似乎心情很好。

结构分析：Wendy, you是主语，seem是系动词，to be in high spirits是表语，today是状语。
