玳瑁连天百里行，

沙溪至此浥汾清。

三秋桂子飞云殿，

一季桃花落水汀。

久住石林生傲骨，

闲游闽水纵修灵。

今生愿与曦阳共，

点染山川处处明。

Ode to Sanming

Tr. Wu Haohao

Mount Daimao extends under the sky,

Rill Shaxi feeds the land far and wide.

Fragrance melts into the moonlit night,

Peach blossoms fall by the riverside.

Stone forests like soldiers stand upright,

Waves splash, sending up pearly spray bright.

How I love the place before my sight,

Which is dotted with many a hill and bight.

About Sanming

Sanming is a prefecture-level city in western Fujian province, China. It borders Nanping City to the north, Fuzhou City to the east, Quanzhou City to the south, Longyan City to the west, and Ganzhou to the northwest. Sanming lies between Wuyi and Daiyun mountains. It is a booming industrial and tourist city in China.
