bum=乞丐, 懒货
bum=informal : a person who is lazy or who does something badly
Get to work, you lazy bum!
bum在美语中经常表示乞丐的意思, 这里是取另外一个意思”懒货”

show up=v 出现, 现身
He promised to come but he never showed up
He was rude and unhelpful and always showed up late to work.
注意show up to sth/spl.表示现身于某个地方
