[第479次听写]“坏透了”的英文该怎么说？

有一些人后来变坏了. 几年前, 有一个巫师坏到了极点. - 他的名字是… 他的名字是… -如果你写下来呢? -我拼不了这个名字.

go bad=变坏
went as bad as xxx=变得和xxx一样坏
as bad as you can go=和你能达到的最坏的程度一样坏
注意这里的you是虚指, 可以替换为one, 类似昨天的那个you虚指

if you wrote
一开始我以为是you should write
但听到的是wrote, 怎么回事呢?
又反复听了好几遍, 才反应过来是if you wrote

注意这是一个虚拟语气用法, 省略了后半句, 补充完整是
maybe if you wrote it down, you could show me his name
这样的说法比maybe you can write it down, maybe you should write it down听起来更加礼貌一些

I can’t spell it我之前以为意思是: 我不能拼出来, 拼出来就很危险之类的
但基于昨天那句since you was a boy, 可以判断这里意思是说: 我不会拼

spell it连读
注意在美音中, l+元音的连读, 会把l读两次, 读作[spɛl lɪt]
但是在英音中, l+元音的连读, 则只读l一次, 读作[spɛ lɪt]
