I want to tell you about Avril Lavigne who is a pop singer from Canada. I’ve always appreciated her talent but never had the chance to meet her in person. Recently she released her first single off her new album which is called Head Above Water. She wrote the song by herself. And in the song she explained how she has spent the last five years at home fighting with Lyme disease, which is an ailment that begins with the symptoms including fever, fatigue, and headaches. I can’t imagine how hard that’s gonna be for her to fight that battle both physically and psychologically.
We would assume being celebrity herself she might wanna hide all the sickness behind herself and just show the positive side to the public instead, but she’s really brave to stand up and has brought the awareness of the severity of the disease that could turn your life upside down.
