这位全能乐手最值得敬佩的地方是在涅槃解散后，他收到了很多邀请，但是全部拒绝了。他自己在录音室录制自己创作的歌曲，除了个别曲目的某个部分无法演奏以外，大部分歌曲都可以包办全部。并且在五天之内完成了一张专辑需要的音乐部分。他说：“我本应该再加入一只乐队，成为一名鼓手。但我却做了没人希望我做的事情，因为我喜欢写歌，喜欢唱歌，没人能阻止我。”
然后，他发表了这些歌曲，但他不想用自己的真名。当时他在读的一本关于二战的军事书，他就用了书中的Foo Fighter来代替自己的名字，变成复数“ Foo Fighters”，来指代乐队，他觉得人们更希望这是一只乐队。然后感觉不错，顺势真的成立了乐队。
回到这首《Walk》，这是首前后跨度很大的歌曲，后面的爆发听起来还是很刺激的，对于喜欢听旋律线条的伙伴来说，是不错的选择。
