俄罗斯作曲家林姆斯基-高沙可夫，在1888年写下这首以小提琴为主奏乐器的管弦组曲。此曲不仅充满华丽的管弦乐法，也是现今最受欢迎的俄罗斯管弦乐代表作。第三曲『小王子与小公主』以小提琴奏出优美的旋律，高雅而动人。本辑为着名指挥家莱纳的又一项指挥传奇，亦为Living Stereo这个持续热卖的发烧系列中最具代表性的录音之一。在LP时代便被评为超级发烧录音。
