今天分享一首Slipknot 的《Snuff》。

今天来首活结乐队难得的慢歌，而且还很好听哦。这首歌来自他们2008年的专辑《All Hope Is Gone》。这也是贝斯手 Paul Gray和鼓手 Joey Jordison共同发行的最后曲目。在这之后前者去世，后者因病离开乐队。这张专辑的白金销量比他们之前的专辑少了一些，但在全球范围内的黄金和白金销量却比以往任何时候都要多，同时在5个国家的专辑排行榜上也登顶。

这首歌的标题《Snuff》是鼻烟的意思。“鼻烟”这个词最初的意思是压碎的烟叶，意思是让人用鼻子吸入。这种做法在17世纪风靡全球——尤其是欧洲和亚洲。由于一般大众都在吸烟，于是鼻烟成了上流社会享受尼古丁的一种上流方式。而在这首歌曲中，小E觉得是想谈一种“瘾”。在这种瘾能让作者找到快感，但同时也深深的伤害了作者。

在采访中作者吉他手Corey Taylor表达这首歌的含义：“这是一首慢歌。这是一个私人问题。再说一次，不是指名道姓，这是关于一个曾帮助我度过很多难关的人，我以为她和我在一条心上，但她真的让我很失望。但同时，她这么做也很好，因为这是我认清自己的最后一个动力。歌词本身就能看的懂。”

有人猜测歌曲中的女主角是作者Corey Taylor的前任妻子斯嘉丽·斯通（Scarlet Stone）。因为他们是在2007年离婚的，歌曲是在2008年发行的。不过这没有得到本人证实。
