研究领域为驱动与储能用电池设计理论与方法,主要包括:
(1)非体积平均电化学机理模型及其在电池多孔电极/燃料电池膜电极领域的设计应用
(2)电池热特性与热设计:热物性测定、产热率测定、电池单体(cell)热设计
(3)电池快充与加热:析锂模拟与检定、无损快充策略
(4)电池老化机理及其模型化方法
(5)电池内部多物理量的动态分布机理及新型测量方法

主持国家自然科学基金3项(含重点项目1项)、国家重点研发计划课题1项,作为技术骨干参与科技部与基金委项目4项。发表论文被SCI收录33篇、EI收录43篇,在SCI中被引用1200余次,google scholar H-index=24,先后4篇入选ESI高被引。出版电池设计学术专著《锂离子电池结构设计理论与应用》。
