我昨天逛手机店,听到最多的问题就是:《王者荣耀》能不能跑起来?
作为一款“现象级”手游,《王者荣耀》在全国有2亿注册用户,每天活跃用户就有5000万人,相当于整个韩国的人口。这些人每个月给腾讯贡献的流水高达30亿人民币。
现在不玩王者荣耀都融不进社交圈了
作为一款游戏,《王者荣耀》无疑是成功的;但另外一方面,《王者荣耀》还引发了一系列社会乱象,下面这些报道都是触目惊心的:
1. 杭州13岁学生因玩王者荣耀,被父亲教训后从四楼跳下,摔成重伤。
2. 广州17岁少年狂打王者荣耀40小时,诱发脑梗,险些丧命。
3. 深圳11岁小学生玩王者荣耀 3个月花光全家多年积蓄3万多元。
《人民日报》坐不住了,连续发文怒怼,其中有篇文章的标题十分犀利:王者荣耀:是娱乐大众,还是“陷害”人生。
这么大的舆论压力之下,腾讯终于扛不住了,近日宣布将施行“12岁以下未成年人每天限玩1小时,12岁以上未成年人每天限玩2小时”的措施。此举被称为“史上最严厉的防沉迷措施”,这在游戏史上也是前无古人。
英国著名的世界级通讯社路透社也关注并报道了此事,接下来我们一下看一下相关的英文表达。
这是标题:

当然,标题已经是我的意译了。一般新闻标题不会出现动词,to do不定式表达“即将要做之事”;play time是一个固定搭配,表示“游戏时间”;top-grossing是形容词,表示“最卖座的、最赚钱的”,这里的top-grossing game就是指“王者荣耀”这款游戏。
