Introduction of Tian Bujiu:
Tian Bujiu, lives in Yunnan China. He studies ancient Chinese music temperament, makes musical instruments based on ancient musical theories. He also focuses on investigating the relation between music and soul and spirit in ancient Chinese culture.

Introduction of the musical instruments:

According to ancient Chinese authorised history, ancient China had a standard for measurement named 'Lyu’, which established and specified the measuring principle of various physical objects, including their lengths, volumes and weights.

The tool they used to carry out researches, was an empty section of bamboo also called 'Lyu’, it was meanwhile a musical instrument.

In Chinese culture, every physical matter was originated from an intangible origin. And sounds were the most natural phenomenon that came from that origin.

According to Records of the Grand Historian from Han dynasty (206 B.C.-220 A.D.),

and A History Written by Lu Buwei, written earlier in the Warring States period

(475-221 B.C.).

The mensuration of ancient Chinese music temperament was invented by Huangdi, he commanded Linglun, a governor of music to travel to Kunlun mountain, and to find a short section of bamboo.

The sound made by this section of bamboo, was then defined as the standard measurement for the physical world.

Linglun listened to the calls of phoenixes at Kunlun mountain. Harmonised their calls with the 'Lyu’ he made.

Then he made another dozen of 'Lyus’, which in the end became the formation of the ancient Chinese twelve-tone temperament.

The musical instruments Tian Bujiu used were 'Lyus’,

made by himself according to ancient Chinese historical records,

along with harmonious rules inspired by the interrelation of matters in nature.

Started from this primitive musical instrument, various kinds of wind instruments got spread throughout the places, including ancient Chinese flutes with sound holes and Japanese flutes.

Introduction of Tian Bujiu’s special vocalism:

This singing technic called 'Sheou’ in ancient Chinese is a special vocalism recorded in historical documents, meaning 'roaring’.

It was believed that, the mysteries of nature were hidden within this special humanly created sound.

Also, In older ancient times, people connected with the universe, coexisted with nature harmoniously, through the sound of 'Sheou’.
