This is a delicious evening, when the whole body is one sense, and imbibes delight through every pore. I go and come with a strange liberty in Nature, a part of herself.
这是一个美好的黄昏，整个身体只有一种感觉，每一个毛孔都吸取着快乐。我奇异地在大自然中自由来往，已与大自然成为一体。
I have my horizon bounded by woods all to myself; ... for the most part it is as solitary where I live as on the prairies. ... I have, as it were, my own sun and moon and stars, and a little world all to myself.
我的地平线被森林所包围，完全属于我自己；......总的来说，我居住的地方就像在大草原上那样杳无人迹。......我仿佛有自己的太阳，月亮和星星，以及一个只属于自己的小小世界。
There can be no very black melancholy to him who lives in the midst of Nature and has his senses still.
