首先，我想提醒和他一样误以为这个“分享让你和地球产生联结感的书”只能是自己已经读完的文字为主的书的人，我没有这个意思：
a.我觉得漫画也是书，摄影集也是书，博物馆展览的设定集也是书，所以我对书的定义是很广泛的，可以阅读的、观看的无论是纸质、电子还是有声书，只要你觉得在阅读或者听的过程中觉得自己和地球有联结感。
b.我还认为这个活动不同于一般读书分享活动的点就在于，很主观，只要这本书你在阅读这本书时感到自己与地球有联结感。你就可以参与、表达你的感受。而你对自己、地球和联结感 的定义都是你的选择，不用迎合我，也完全没有必要读完这本书才可以讲自己感受到了什么。
总之，很期待有更多人开始读书，也在阅读中感知到自己和地球的联结。

The Modern Japanese Garden

Readers who have followed GEO since 8th March may already know Cedric from #EachforEqual stories.
First, I would like to remind readers who mistook my event of "sharing the book makes you feel connected with the Earth" was only asking for book book and one had to finish reading the book before sharing the sensed connection, I did not mean that:
a. to me, a manga is a book, a collection of photography is a book, a museum exhibtion catalogue is a book, as long as you can read it, paper or digital, or just listen to it as an audiobook, all the forms of books are all welcome to this event, as long as you feel connected with the Earth when reading to it with your eyes or ears.
b. I also consider this online event different from the others as the only standard is the book helps you to sense your connection with the Earth, so quite subjective. If you feel connected to the Earth, you are most welcome to share and raise your voice, talk about your feelings. And the way you define yourself, the Earth and connection is your own choice, so you do not need my permission, no need to please me, and you can start to talk before you finish reading the book.
In general, I am very looking forward to knowing more people who start to read and sense the connection with the Planet Earth.

Yes a few; coffee table pictures of beautiful earth, philosophy books humans or nature, even architecture books that appreciate various construction materials and locations- that get you thinking of different places

As an architect; my training and final profession often merge into different genres... architecture can be seen as a part of, or separated from its component parts... the question: what is Architecture haunts my mind endlessly...

A building, an interior, or sculptural art?...then what are the fundamentals of architecture, a wall? A boundary? How do you define a boundary? Is it visual, textural, defines with hard lines or simply a transition? Do people see different boundaries? Where does the building start and the earth begin or the earth begin and the building start?
建筑物，还是室内设计，还是雕塑艺术？...那么，建筑的基本原理是什么，墙面？边界？你又怎么去定义边界？它是视觉的，纹理的，有明确的线条作为边界还是有一个过渡？人们会看到不同的边界吗？是先去建筑再考虑地球的存在，还是让地球先存在，其次是开始建筑？

In trying to answer the question, one design genre, I think, that succeeds at continuing to ask that fundamental question, is the modern Japanese garden. Unlike Traditional English Gardens that have strong definitions, the modern Japanese garden mixes materials from inside to outside and tried to bring green spaces inside... connecting the narrative of the building into the landscape and grounding the occupant in a place, good design can anchor you to the earth, appreciate its changing moods and make you feel part of the moving world.
在试图寻找问题答案的时候，我认为有一种设计流派成功地在不断追问这个基础性的问题，就是现代日本园林。和传统的英式园林有着明确的定义不同，现代日本园林会融合内外的材料，给内部也带来绿色的空间... 将建筑叙事与景观、还有居于其间的人联系在一起，优秀的设计可以让你在地球上找准自己的位置，欣赏这个星球上的变化，感受到自己也是这个移动中的世界的一部分。

- I really like the last photo of the courtyard that fills up like a lake, it shows you that spaces can be transient and transform, they can... and are ever changing with nature, and you can forget until they start interacting with nature.

I enjoy this book, because although it’s predominantly a picture book with some plans and explanations from their creators. And even though I have studied design for many years. I can re-read or re-look at the different gardens when in different moods and find new design strategies, see new details or visual relationships between man and nature. It makes me feel as if I can see the gardens afresh everytime, or my relationship with the earth.
我享受阅读这本书，因为尽管它主要是一本图画书，上面有一些创作者的计画和解释。即使我已经研究设计很多年了。我还能够以不同的心情重新阅读或重新审视不同的园林，并找到新的设计策略，体察到新的细节或人与自然之间的视觉关系。这让我感到好像每次都能看到园林里一些新的气息，或者我与地球的关系。
