Ab stract

The characters of seals of Jin play an important role in the history of the formation ofChinese characters.The comprehensive configuration analysis to the characters of seals of Jin,not only can provide a reliable dating material and make the configuration theory moreaffluent,but also help to the other related work, such as the textual research on characters.Through the development of the characters of seals,we can get an overview of the regionaldevelopment of the Warring States′characters.

With guidance of the formational theory of Chinese characters, we collate andsummarize the materials of the characters of seals of Jin to sort out 1237 words which doesnot repeat in this paper.On the basis of analysis which called diverse ways of writing anddiverse structures, the 1002 words has been ordered to split and we analyze its function ofcomponents, configurations and some changes deeply. Finally,we sum up the generalcharacteristics and regional characteristics of the characters of seals of Jin.

The thesis is divided into four chapters, the first chapter introduces the status,value andobject of the formational research of the characters of seals of Jin,we define the scope andmethods of research at the same time;The second chapter points out the different types ofdiverse ways of writing and diverse structures and we analyze the reasons behind thisphenomenon; The third chapter analyzes the category, feature, configurations and somechanges of the characters of seals of Jin;The fourth chapter summarizes the configurationcharacteristics of the characters of seals of Jin.
