5.1Work Elements

It is the basic building block of standard work

A work element is a logical group of actions that advances work to its successful completion.  It is a task comprised of a series of motions.

工作要素是构建标准化作业额基础

工作要素是将工作推行成功完成的逻辑，这是一个由一系列的动作组成的任务

A work element contains ONLY working time and is based on “best practices” for performing a task (Cyclical Jobs)

工作要素仅包含作业时间且基于作业的最佳实践(循环作业)

· Assembly time/ Pick up parts/ Pick up assist tools

组装时间/拿取零件/拿取工具

Walking is separated from the work elements移动时间与工作要素分离

It does not contain any non-cyclic tasks such as:；工作要素不包含非循环作业时间，例如

· Adjustment jobs/Rework/Repair/Quality checks

调整工作/返工/维修/质量检查

5.2How can we describe work element? 如何描述工作要素？

· Geographic location – elements that are separated by walking

· Time – elements should be approximately 10% of the actual Takt Time.  If an element is too small, i.e. pick part, group with next element

· Function

· Each part/sub-assembly

作业位置-移动时间与工作要素分离

时间-要素应约为实际节拍时间的10%，如果作业要素太小，例如拿取零件，则归类在下一个作业要素中。

5.3 Initial Observation Sheet初始观察表

The initial observation sheet allows the observer of the Standardized Work to take notes regarding the operator’s work content.

通过初始观察表，标准化作业的观测者可以记录有关操作员工的工作内容

· Rough, geographical sketch of the operators work area

· List the operators work elements

· Group job elements into “reasonable/time able” measures

· Calculate Takt Time
