STEP 2 学习文中出现的易错/亮点表达

1. recommend  something = to suggest that someone or something would be good or suitable for a particular job or purpose, or to suggest that a particular action should be done. v. 推荐

e.g. I can recommend the chicken in mushroom sauce - it's delicious.

我会推荐蘑菇酱鸡肉——太美味了。

e.g. She has been recommended for promotion.

她被举荐升职了。

recommend myself as ... 自荐为……

2. I'd like to = I would like to：a way that is  a little bit more polite and indirect to say  “I want.”  v phrase (动词词组). 礼貌地表达“我想要”

e.g. I'd like to apply for this job.

我想要应聘这份工作。

3.quality = how good or bad something is  n.品质、质量（可以是人的品质也可以是物的品质）

e.g.The food was of such poor/ low quality.

这些食物品质太差了。

e.g.The products are of very high quality.

这些产品的质量非常好。

quality: You can describe a particular characteristic of a person or thing as a quality.   n.个性; 特性

e.g. Sometimes you wonder where your kids get their good qualities. 
 有时候你会奇怪，自己的孩子是在哪里养成那些优良品德的。

e.g....a childlike quality. 
  …孩子般的个性

STEP 3 再次朗读全文直到能够背诵

本文是【自荐信】，文章涉及对主人公的性格和能力描写，所以用到很多描述人品质的形容词，这里老师给大家做一些简单的拓展。

Polite	- He's good at saying 'please', 'thank you', etc.	礼貌的
Considerate	- He always thinks about other people when he does something or talk to someone.	体贴的、照顾人的
Understanding	- The same as 'sympathetic' - He understands other people's problems well.	能够设身处地的、将心比心的
Generous	- He likes giving things to people.	慷慨大方的
Helpful	- He likes helping.	乐于助人的
Organised	- She knows how to organise things well.	有条不紊的、善于整理的
Hardworking	- She works hard!	勤奋的
