AL Executive Office: Fascination with aluminium
Successful management encourages the exchange of ideas and information and their integration into the business. The office plays a vital role in facilitating the transfer of knowledge. Those who see the office as a hub of collaboration know that its design should reflect this. It should be clear and self-evident to employees from the very nature of their surroundings.

Aluminum allows designers to create truly elegant pieces of furniture. “The perceived profile of the frame when viewed from the front is very thin,” says Kai Stania. “From the top and the side you can see how structured it actually is. I think that makes it a successful design in terms of both its form and aesthetic. It is this level of detail that makes the overall product superior. Similarly, you can see how the edges of the sideboard are virtually flush with the body of the cabinet. And rather than use feet on the bases of units, I have withdrawn the base so that you get the impression the units are floating above the ground.”
