Is the seat taken/ available/free ?这个座位是空的吗？

take a seat是入座的意思，所以外国人询问这个座位是不是空的常常会说is the seat taken，意思就是这个座位有人坐吗。相同的表达还有 is the seat available 和 is the seat free。
