J. Hillis Miller先生，一路走好！

据加州大学尔湾分校官网消息，国际知名文学理论家、解构主义耶鲁学派四大家之一的J. Hillis Miller（1928—2021）美国时间2021年2月8日病逝于缅因州的塞奇威克（Sedgwick），享年92岁。

J. Hillis Miller跟中国的渊源颇深，与中国很多学者均有深深浅浅的学术联系，他也在中国做过30余场学术报告，这些报告积集成书，书名为An Innocent Abroad: Lectures in China，估计是戏仿马克·吐温的Innocents Abroad而定的书名，从字面上也可见他的谦虚。

这两部作品国内都有译本，前者译为《萌在他乡：米勒中国演讲集》，2016年南京大学出版社出版。后者有人译为《傻子出国记》，适合马克·吐温的文体风格。根据米勒先生的谦逊风格，密勒先生的演讲集也不妨译为《傻子出国记：中国演讲集》。
