求求你别再用more and more了!

1. a growing number of sb / sth, an increasing number of sb/ sth
An increasing number of people are suffering from cancer these years in China.
In addition, an increasing number of American states are making it easier for people to vote by mail during the coronavirus outbreak.
But the coronavirus crisis has caused an increasing number of companies to use the technology as a way to slow the spread of the virus.
More and more people choose to live in big cities.
An increasing number of people choose to live in big cities.
A growing number of people choose to live in big cities.
2. an ever-increasing / ever-growing number of sth
The islanders are trying to protect their environment from the ever-increasing number of Australian tourists.
The first children born under the one-child policy face the prospect of caring for an ever-increasing number of pensioners.
3. in growing / increasing numbers
Nurses are leaving the profession in increasing numbers.
These coffee chains are beginning to appear in China in increasing numbers.
Chinese people are travelling abroad as tourists in increasing numbers, as political reforms make it easier for them to get passports.
4.The number of sth / sb is increasing/surging.
The number of holidaymakers is booming. Too many are visiting the same
places.
The number of sth / sb is booming. The number of sth / sb is increasing / surging.
The number of people suffering from depression has surged over the past few years.
The number of people choosing to travel during holidays has surged these days.
02
1. increasingly+
While younger Chinese are increasingly health-conscious, they seem to brush off regular hotpot-hygiene scandals.
It used to be older folk who headed to the countryside, often the retired returning to their childhood homes. Today those interested in moving are increasingly young.
As the job market becomes increasingly competitive every year, a growing number of fresh university graduates are opting for 'delayed employment'
Use of antidepressants is rising fast. Young, educated urbanites are increasingly using the internet to seek help privately for their mental-health problems.
Where it makes up a big share of total pension income, as in Italy, Portugal and Greece, a shrinking workforce will increasingly struggle to finance a bulging group of pensioners.
2. ever+adj.
的」,可以替换 more and more。

Although richer countries are generally more contented, rising material prosperity does not necessarily lead to ever-higher levels of self-reported well-being.
The ever more competitive world of the summer enrichment programme
That is a fine idea, but as health swallowsan ever-bigger share of national wealth, greater efficiency is exactly what is needed, at least so far as governments and insurers are concerned.
