Make a choice
At the end of last month, I got a phone call from a headhunter who want to introduce a new job for me. I suddenly found an opportunity that is more suitable for my skills and career goals, it's time to change I told to myself.
Then I experienced 4 times interview with Nelson ’s VP from China, England, Singapore, and China again. The 4 times interview lasts about 3 weeks or more. During that period, I received another offer.
When you have got an offer, you will want to look for a better one, things always happended in this way.
During the whole process, I prepared much but I received more.
At the very beginning, I need to prepare my introduction both in English and Chinese. I asked questions to myself:
Talk about your general working experience
What's your strength and weakness
Why do you want to change your job
What's your expectations and considerations of the new job
What's your opinions on the industry you have studied over 3 years
What methodologies do you ever use or learn in quality analysis and quantity research
What's your hobby
During the preparation, I looked back to the road I have walked, and clear where I want to go in the near future.
Then is the interviews. Talking with smart people help you find the truely of yourself. Sometimes they even describe you more accuratly than yourself. The 4 guys in Nelson are all handsome and charming. Then I'm afraid I cannot get the offer smoothly or a satisfied salary, so I accepted another offer without thinking too much.
Just couple days later, I saw a HR posted his thoughts in Wechat moment: Do you know what's the spirit of contract?! How could you signed the contract and promise the official onboard date, but didn't show up by that day without any reasons.
Until then, I began to think about my behavior. To be honest, I was really content with the first offer I have got, but people always want more after getting what he desired. So I ask for a higher salary and think things should be like this.
God seems to be interested to testing me. I successfully got the offer from Nelson and they provide a much higher salary which can help me to rent a bigger house or a home closer to company. As a Libra, I felt too much entanglements and contradictions. It's never too easy to make a choice for a Libra.
Then I asked a lot of person about the environment, business scope, working methods, etc. of the 2 companies. However, nothing helps. Then I make a phone call to my life tutor, we didn't talk much about differences between the 2 jobs but the spirit of contract and fate.
People need to take responsibility of the choice he made or the contract he signed. There had a hand arranged everything.
If you fail to meet your promise once, how could you make sure that won't happen again? Everything that happens twice will surely happen a third time, that's what you need to be constantly alert to.
Finally, she recommended a book named <the alchemist> which talks about personal legend to me. I read over the book but still don't know what's my personal legend. But I know how to make a right choice instead of a better one.
So I replied the email in the first time to reduce bad impacts as quickly as I can.
To die tomorrow was no worse than dying on any other day. So, why do I always busy with looking for food and water, but never listen to my heart.
