From the beauty of the Mediterranean to Spain's talented Flamengo and tango dancers,

The frequent travels of Anatoly Maitland (Anatoly Metlan) have inspired his paintings. Influenced by the impressionists from an early age, he often traveled to the south of France to get the same inspiration as these artists.

Metlan likes to travel to Italy and France in the summer, attracted by the bright seascapes and coastal villages and bright colors. The Romance and warmth of his journey breathe life into the landscape, taking the viewer to destinations such as the shimmering blue sea, the boat on the dock and the comfort of the house. In the sun, the narrow streets are lined with little tables of flowers where the audience can sit and drink.

At the moment, Metlan is dedicated to depicting dancers, musicians and Gypsies. Metlan emphasizes the sensual tango position in his dancers'paintings, forever capturing energy, emotion and dramatic moments. These passionate paintings depict Maitland's memories of attending a Flamenco concert in southern Europe.
