微生物主要是由一群肉眼看不见的单细胞生物组成,其种类之繁多,包括细菌、真菌、放线菌、原生动物、藻类、病毒、支原体、衣原体等生物,数目之庞大超乎我们的想象。微生物不仅存在于环境中的任何一个角落,同时也与我们共存于人体内。目前所知的微生物种类尚不及自然界中存在的微生物种类的千分之一。
