今天分享一首来自Alt-J（三角基乐队）的《Breezeblocks》。
Alt-J(∆)乐队，是一只英国的Indie-Rock乐队。他们在2012年六月发行了首张专辑《An Awesome Wave 》一举获得了2012年英国水星音乐奖。
乐队组建于2007年的利兹大学，成员有Gwil Sainsbury (吉他/贝司), Joe Newman (主唱/吉他), GusUnger-Hamilton (键盘) 和Thom Green (鼓手) 。
Gus在大学里主修英国文学, 另外三人主修美术。在他们进入大学的第二年，Joe向Gwil演奏了几首他自己写的歌，这些歌是受到了他父亲（是个吉他手）和毒品的启发所写。于是他们开始在宿舍里由Gwil用GarageBand软件创作歌曲，毕业后，他们搬到了剑桥，并在布里斯顿录下了他们的首张专辑《An Awesome Wave 》。他们足足排练了两年，才在2011年与Infectious Records签约。
Δ这个名字(即Alt-J)源于在苹果电脑上用来插入希腊字母delta(Δ)的快捷键，“Alt-J”也常常让人与Daljit Dhaliwal（一个英国主持人）和“电影”联系起来。
2014年1月13日乐队成员Gwil Sainsbury宣布离队。
今天推荐的这首《Breezeblocks》是这张专辑乃至三角基最被人熟知的歌曲之一。此曲的结构与节奏多变且富有想象力，相当特别。整首歌给人留下最深印象的莫过于歌曲中出现很多次的伴随鼓点重锤，和其他乐器合奏的lalalala和歌曲结尾处富有感染力的“Please don't go, I'll eat you whole, I love you so”的重复洗脑。
歌曲的灵感来自一个经典的英国儿童绘本，野兽出没的地方-《Where the Wild Things Are》 ，歌词中也引用了绘本中的内容“do you know where the wild things go ”。歌曲实际上是在描述一种“非常喜欢某人（Liking someone so much）”的情绪。正因为你是如此喜欢他，以至于你为了要让他们留下来而威胁要吃掉他们，这也是绘本中出现的一部分："Oh, please don't go — we'll eat you up — we love you so!"，歌曲中的歌词由此而改编。
搭配MV观看，对歌曲所表达的内容更有体会。MV以倒叙的视角表达，如果把整个MV再倒放回来，可能会看到另一种表述。
