她患癌时写下45条人生格言,一直坚持照着生活,现活到90岁了

人们经常会告诉雷吉娜·布瑞特(Regina Brett)她看起来比实际年龄要年轻,这位90岁高龄的老人多年前查出患有乳腺癌,当年她就写下了45条人生格言,并且照着这些标准在生活着。这么多年过去了,这些格言不仅帮助了她自己,同时也帮助了其他人,积极面对他们的人生。

1.生活虽然很不公平,但是它依旧美好。

Life isn't fair,but it’s still good.

When in doubt, just take the next small step.

3.人生苦短,不要把时间浪费在憎恨上。

Life is too short to waste time hating anyone.

4.别把自己太当回事,因为别人也不会把你当回事。

Don't take yourself so seriously. No one else does.

5.每个月都要还信用卡账单。

Pay off your credit cards every month.

6.你不需要据理力争,可以各执己见。

You don’t have to win every argument. Agree to disagree.

7.与朋友倾诉好过自己暗自流泪。

Cry with someone. It’s more healing than crying alone.

8.从你的第一笔工资开始,就要为你的退休存款。

Save for retirement,starting with your first paycheck.

9.遇上想吃的东西就吃,抗拒是徒劳的。

When it comes to chocolate, resistance is futile.

10.接受你的过去,好让它不影响到你的未来。

Make peace with your past so it won't screw up the present.

It's OK to let your children see you cry.

Don't compare your life to others'. You have no idea what their journey is all about.
