Chapter 4She decided that she will try to mimic human language and talk to her.“Hello!” Eva was pretty good at mimicking human language because she could always hear what they were saying when she slept on their roof. The roof wasn’t the most comfy, but she did hear some boring news that the humans would talk about. But her voice wasn’t perfect, the humans would try to shoo her out. The flamingo seemed startled. She showed a little hint of fear in her small eyes. Somehow, the flamingo also knew how to speak human language, perhaps it was because she heard humans speaking? But there is barley any humans around here….. She simply said, as if to make things seem less awkward.“Why are the birds out?” Perhaps she was still scared of her, and didn’t want to give out any personal information, or she didn’t want to be friends…. However, Eva was not going to easily lose this chance, she tried to explain her situation, “look, I am just a normal bat, I want to be friends, my family left me.” The moment she said that, the flamingo looked up to her quickly, “you too?” The flamingo said with a bit o[f hope in her small eyes. She then hesitated and said, “do you think something weird is going on?” Eva wondered, what could be weird? Well… the birds were out at night, that’s weird… “well, yeah, the birds are out at night..”“To tell the truth, I think I know why….” Eva said slowly.Chapter 5 The bat started to say, “My aunt used to say that when birds are out at the darkest time of the day, it means the sorcerer has gained his powers yet again.” Flora felt like she or he was joking her, “magic, is not real.” She stated. Maybe the bat felt challenged and decided to prove herself right. “Well, we’ll see about that…” She gave a little bat smirked and continued to say, “My aunt said that the sorcerer doesn’t have a name, but he was known as Rhone. He wasn’t like what he is now. He was affectionate and friendly, but now, well I think you can guess. My aunt said that he turned into the person who kills animals and the person who makes other people turn into ice. I don’t want to think about it but it always makes my wings shiver. A few hundred years ago, he got drowned by Wylie—”When Flora heard the bat say that, she almost could have fainted. She exclaimed, “What!?” The bat looked at her,“Jeez, what?”“Did you just say Wylie?”“Yeah, that magic flamingo sorcerer.”“I think I knew that flamingo….”“Well, you couldn’t have known him, he died.” Those words, 'He died’ sounded so hollow to Flora, if only the bat could guess that Wylie is the name of her… The bat looked at her with a slight bit of sympathy but continued on, “When he died, you could say the whole world celebrated, both human and animal but, he was a sorcerer, so, it looks like there was no way he could die. In these years, he has been slowly gaining more and more power…” The bat said, then he paused, But suddenly his tiny eyes slowly grew into the largest pair of eyes she had ever seen on a bird. She wondered if he was a robot for a second, then she slowly turned around to look at what made the bat so afraid, she gasped. That small gasp only lasted for a quick second because she was getting chocked by……Chapter 6 When the rain finally stopped , Cara swam back to where her mother was before. She passed an old cave where she and the other whales used to play in and she soon arrived at where her mother was before. She called out to her mother, “Let’s go!” But there was no response, only the sound of dolphins calling each other in the distance. She wondered where her mother and the other whales went, did they just forget abbot her? No, they couldn’t have, but, it is a migration, which is really important… Cara couldn’t imagine why her parents had left her.She looked around and spotted a small open clam. On the clam, there was a weird handwriting, it read, “where were you? We are going already, sorry dear..”Cara couldn’t believe that her parents would abandon her just like that, she also couldn’t believe parents could even write a single letter. Cara found this really strange. All she ever saw her two parents do was swim around slowly and eat plankton. Just when she was wondering all of that, she saw a shadow past by.The shadow was surprisingly big, it was actually bigger than the leader of the whales, which was the largest thing she ever saw, it was about 120 feet long! The shadow was also moved really fast, Cara wondered what it was.. she hesitated for a second but decided to follow the shadow. She had trouble keeping up without resting. Even though there was a shadow, there wasn’t an object. She looked around her, hoping to find where the object was hiding, then she suddenly thought to herself, how can I be so stupid, it is moving, why would it be hiding? She continued to chase after the shadow. After traveling through the waters for a few minutes, the strange shadow finally stopped moving. Cara felt excited but also nervous. Unfortunately, the object didn’t appear. In fact, the shadow disappeared too! Cara felt a little disappointed but also relieved. She didn’t know what to do. Suddenly, the ocean turned white……To be continued….
