一个教师的确有可能作出改变!

专注于教师的瓦尔基基金会认为:我们还需要6900万教师。

今天基金会的负责人也再次提到了这个让我觉得触目惊心的数字。
难道这三年来我们的教师教育没有任何长进吗?
同时,关注数字的时候,我们也要意识到不只是要有教师,而是要有能够提供优质教育的教师。

之所以我(相信很多在场的人也有类似的感受,最后经久不息的掌声算是一个佐证)会觉得Peter Tabichi 点亮了伦敦今晚的雨夜,就是因为他不仅谦逊而且很有信念感。当然这和他的信仰有关,但我感觉还有一点很重要,那就是他真的相信自己在做的事情很重要,每个孩子都有自己的天赋。而他所做的事情就是花时间和孩子们在一起,尽可能陪伴他们找到自己的天赋。
我会有这样的理解是因为他也一直有在不同的场合强调:
最多的感谢要给到我的学生,因为Ta们的成就我才能够站在这里。
